Carmen Freudenthal (photographer) and Elle Verhagen (stylist) have been working
as a photographer/ creative team since 1989.
Their collaboration with fashion designers, performers and other artists results
in a wide variety of work, which is, at the same time, always recognizable by
a typical humoristic approach of daily life and an undeniable own style, using
and abusing contemporary imagery and (photo)graphic techniques.
Freudenthal and verhagen have been in-house designers for Bernhard Willhelm from 2001 till 2007, creating all look-books and art-directing several shows.
In 2003 they were responsible for the graphic design of a book about Bernhard Willhelm, which was published to coincide with the “Moderne Mode” exhibition at the Ursula Blickle Foundation in Germany during the summer of that same year.
There work has been published in I-d magazine, Dazed & Confused, Jalouse and Flash Art International.
They participated in several exhibitions in Europe, the United States and Japan.

Carmen Freudenthal (fotograaf) en Elle Verhagen (stylist) werken sinds 1989 samen als kunstenaars/vormgevers duo.
Hun verdere samenwerking met mode ontwerpers, performers en andere kunstenaars leidt tot uiteenlopend werk, wat tegelijkertijd altijd herkenbaar is aan een typische humoristische benadering van het dagelijks leven en een onmiskenbaar eigen stijl. Ze gebruiken en misbruiken daarbij hedendaagse beeldtaal en foto(grafische) technieken.
In de periode 2001-2007 hebben zij voor Bernhard Willhelm alle lookbooks gemaakt en een aantal shows geregisseerd. Verder hebben zij o.a. campagnes gemaakt voor KesselsKramer.
Hun werk was te zien in het Kröller-Müller museum, het museum voor moderne kunst arnhem, het MOMU in antwerpen en het Stedelijk Museum Bureau.
Het word regelmatig gepubliceerd in I-d magazine, Dazed & Confused en verder o.a. in Jalouse and Flash Art International.
